Logistics Administrator

Scandia Gear Dubai is looking for a Logistics Administrator! As a Logistics Administrator you are responsible to perform a variety of administrative tasks related to logistics procedures. You are willing to assist and help the Warehouse whenever needed with picking and packing, prepare order for delivery, etc.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Performs all administrative tasks needed to prepare orders for shipments to the required delivery address provided by our customers.
  • Requests quotes for transport from our contracted forwarders.
  • Records transport costs
  • Communicates with our customers directly, with regards to transport only.
  • Prepares all required documentation for domestic and international shipments (Tax exemptions, commercial invoice, Delivery notes etc.)
  • Ensures the warehouse receives all documentation in a timely manner.
  • Assists with clearance of imported goods.
  • Assists with transport of incoming and outgoing container shipments.
  • Assists with maintenance of all import and export files, to ensure compliances and preparedness for drawback.
  • Reports any discrepancies and issues to the Logistics Specialist/ Logistics Team leader and proposes preventive measures.
  • Responsible to follow all written procedures and instructions as recorded in the HQSE-system.

Requirements and experience

MBO skills and abilities; excellent command of English; full-time availability from Saturday to Thursday; experience working with automated systems; commercially-minded and customer-focused; motivated.
